1/72 F-35C Lightning II

The JSF Joint Strike Fighter program was set up to develop a new fifth-generation all-weather multi-role fighter capable of being a valid substitute for ground attack aircraft in the United States and NATO countries. The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II single-seater aircraft was born. Equipped with an extraordinary technology, it is characterized by the adoption of an aerodynamic lay out, with stealth characteristics, a trapezoidal wing. Designed to carry out air superiority missions, close air support and ground attack, its cell is available in different configurations. The F-35A operates from conventional runways, the F-35B is designed for vertical landing and take-off, the F-35C is ideal for conventional aircraft carriers. More in detail, the F-35C is characterized by the folding wing end in order to optimize the on-board stowage operations, for the rear stop hook and for the reinforced front trolley in order to be suitable for the launch catapults of the U.S. aircraft carriers.
